There are 3 issues that could prevent your printer from printing from Chrome. If you are still in internet explorer, it is no longer supported by Microsoft, please change browsers.
Clear your Browser Cache
There have been slight changes to the label layout. If you get an error printing you may just need to clear your browser cache.
DYMO Web Services
DYMO Web Services is the mechanism that allows the printer to print from a web page. If web services is not running on your computer, you will be unable to print from MethodOne. This is not a MethodOne issue, it is a computer issue. We are providing a guide to assist you and your IT with this.
Check for Web Services.
Click the arrow to view your tray next to your time
If you are using DYMO v8, it will look like this. hover your mouse over the DYMO icon and it should say DYMO Label Web Service
If you are using DYMO Connect it will look like this and say DYMO Connect Service
right click on yours and select diagnose
version 8 message:
DYMO Connect Message
As long as you are getting these messages, web services is running and that is not your problem.
If you are getting an SSL certificate Error with DYMO Connect click here --You are likely a non admin user on that computer and extra steps must be taken to access the certificate, An Admin user must perform these steps.
If you are getting any other Error when you click diagnose, your issue is with the web services. We have had success with locations getting odd errors by stopping the service, exiting the service and then restarting it. To stop the service right click on your dymo icon and choose stop service. Right click on it again and click exit service. Follow instructions below to restart it.
Web Services not there
If Web Services is not running, you can try to manually start it. type Dymo Web Services in your start bar and run it. If it will not run with dymo connect and you are not an admin on your computer, an admin on the computer will need to do the steps from this link.
If you are using v8 and it is not running, you may need to uninstall and reinstall Dymo Version 8.7.4
Chrome Flags
If you have done all of the above and it is still not working, you may have the wrong flags enabled in chrome.
PLEASE NOTE: You only need these flags if you are using an automated pump. If you are using a manual pump or dispensing tablets, you do not need to have any flags enabled in Chrome or Edge
The release of Chrome version 98 has caused a communication issue with the dymo label printers when using an automated pump. We have found a solution so that you can continue to print labels and dispense medication
Please navigate to either Chrome://flags or Edge://flags depending on the browser you are using.
If you see the Experimental Web Platform Features enabled. Change that to disabled.
Type in Experimental WebAssembly and change that to Enabled
This flag will allow you to use your pump and will not interfere with the communication to the printers.
